Toy balloon

November 19th, 2009 by chineeinflatables

A toy balloon is an inflatable object which is often made of plastic or natural, biodegradable rubber.

Rubber balloons
Natural Rubber, also known as latex, is a highly flexible substance which is extracted from certain plants. Latex balloons contain small amounts of nitrosamines, but the amount which they release is non-hazardous. Nitrosamine is used as a solvent when processing latex. There are methods of reducing the amount of Nitrosamine in the finished product, but these methods are expensive. Most professionally used latex balloon brands produce a 100% biodegradable balloon that takes less time than an oak left to degrade.

Foil balloons
Foil inflatable balloons are made from plastics, such as aluminized PET film. Foil balloons are not elastic like rubber balloons, so that detailed and colorful pictures printed on their surfaces are not distorted when the balloon is inflated. Foil balloons are thus named because they sometimes have a metallic coating to make them shiny; however there have been concerns about metallic balloons causing short circuits when caught in overhead power lines. Because metallic balloons can cause power outages, it is recommended that the metallic balloons not only be tied by a string or ribbon with no metal in it, but also securely tied down by a weight to prevent the balloon from floating away. When finished using the balloons, cut the balloon to release the helium and dispose in a trash can.

Filling
Helium filled balloons
Every toy balloon has an opening through which gases are blown into it. Balloons are usually filled by using one’s breath, a pump, or a pressurized gas tank. The opening can then be tied off or clamped. Foil balloons are typically self-sealing. By filling a balloon with a gas lighter than air, such as helium, the balloon can be made to float. Helium is the preferred gas for floating balloons, because it is inert and will not catch fire (like hydrogen) or cause toxic effects when inhaled. Small, light objects (postcards, in balloon mail for example) are sometimes placed in balloons along with helium and released into the air and, when the balloon eventually falls, the object inside might be found by another person. Rubber balloons can also be filled with liquids (usually water) and can burst when they impact a solid object. Liquid-filled balloons are commonly referred to as water balloons or water bombs and used in playful fights, and sometimes vandalism.

Form
Most toy balloons are a simple oval-like shape. Other balloons are longer and more cylindrical. Long balloons are often twisted and bent into simple or intricate shapes which will hold their form when released. Balloon artists are people who quickly twist balloons into familiar or abstract shapes using the techniques of balloon modeling, usually for profit. Toy balloons are used as decorations and/or advertising space. Balloons are usually purchased in deflated form; however some party stores and vendors at special events will fill their balloons before selling them.
While toy balloons are primarily a toy, they are also sometimes used for demonstrations in classrooms.

Modern kayaks

November 16th, 2009 by chineeinflatables

Modern kayaks have evolved into numerous specialized types, that may be broadly categorized according to their application as sea kayaks, whitewater (or river) kayaks, inflatable kayaks, and racing kayaks (flat water, white water, or slalom), though many hybrid types exist as well, broadly labeled recreational kayaks. The label "kayak" is often misapplied to other small, human-powered vessels not descended from the kayak tradition, including multi-hull or outrigger boats and those which elevate above the water on hydrofoils.

Sea kayaks are typically designed for travel by one or two paddlers on open water and in many cases trade maneuverability for seaworthiness, stability, and cargo capacity. Sea-kayak sub-types include open-deck "sit-on-top" kayaks, recreational kayaks, and collapsible "skin-on-frame" boats.

White water kayaks are in some cases highly maneuverable boats, usually for a single paddler, and include such specialized boats as play boats and slalom kayaks. White water racers combine a fast, unstable lower hull portion with a flared upper hull portion to combine flat water racing speed with extra stability in open water: they are not fitted with rudders and have similar maneuverability to flat water racers.

Surf skis, are specialized narrow and long boats for racing, surfing breaking waves and surf-zone rescues. Racing kayaks are designed for speed, and usually require substantial skill to achieve stability, due to extremely narrow hulls, though downriver racing kayaks are a hybrid style with whitewater boats.

Inflatable Kayaks are in many respects similar to white water boats, however often equipped with up to three fins. Specialty surf boats typically have flat bottoms, and hard edges, similar to surf boards. The design of a surf kayak promotes the use of an ocean surf wave (moving wave) as opposed to a river or feature wave (moving water). They are typically made from rotomolded plastic, or fiberglass.

Modern kayaks are typically constructed from rotomolded plastic, wood, fabrics over wooden or aluminum frames, fiberglass, Kevlar, or carbon fiber. Most kayaks accommodate one or two paddlers, but some special-purpose boats may accommodate more.

Action Now, to Know More about Inflatable Structures

November 13th, 2009 by chineeinflatables

Inflatable structures are structures made of a flexible outer membrane or fabric that is filled with air or helium inside. These fluids have the purpose of giving the shape and strength of the structure regardless of external atmospheric or use conditions. The structural behavior of the inflatable structure depends on the strength of the external membrane. The final use, shape and the size of the structure depend on the specific design and requirements that their end users determine.

Nowadays, inflatable structures and inflatable buildings are used in many ways. Membrane roofs and covers, inflatable castles and games, sails, airships, inflatable furniture, airspace structures, Inflatable boats, inflatable escape slides, security mattresses, inflatable swimming pools, inflatable coverings, inflatable pavilions for events, inflatable buildings and pavilions, air bags and many other applications. The great technology and applicability of inflatable structures is the result of the increasing use and experience in different industries and sectors.

History
The inflatable structure was designed in 1959 by John Scurlock who was experimenting with inflatable covers for tennis courts when he noticed his employees enjoyed jumping on the covers. He started the Space Walk Company to market them for children and called them Space Walks. He started out with a large air mattress and in 1967 added walls.

Inflatable structures were also designed by university students in England around 1961 for a fundraising event.

Construction
The surfaces are typically composed of thick, strong PVC or vinyl and nylon, and the castle is inflated using an electric or petrol-powered blower. The principle is one of constant leakage, meaning small punctures are not a problem - a medium-size "bouncy castle" requires a fan with a mechanical output of about two horsepower (consuming around 2 kW electrical powers, allowing for the efficiency of the motor).

UK and Australian bouncy castles have specifications calling for fully inflated walls on 3 sides with an open front and foam "crash mats" to catch children who may jump or fall out of the structure.

Modern moonwalks in the US are typically supported by inflatable columns and enclosed with netting. The netting allows for supervision as adults can see in from all sides. Only two states, Cheaper inflatable structures are usually made of polyester rather than nylon PVC and do not use a blower, instead they are inflated with a pump similar to an airbed. They do not last as long and it is illegal in the UK and USA to hire these out.

Another type of home-use inflatable has evolved, with a blower pumping in air continuously. Pores in the seams and material allow air to escape as kids’ play, while the blower continues to inflate the unit. This category has emerged as a response to parents who wish to buy an inflatable for home-use.

Standards
In 2005 the most severe standards in the construction of an inflatable amusement were adopted nationally in Australia, forming Federal Standard AS3533.4. This was a landmark safety standard bringing the toughest design/construction/operation standards to the inflatable industry of Australia. In 2007 the European Union (EU) followed and introduced similar Federal standards throughout Europe called EN14960.

In the US, Pennsylvania and New Jersey require inflatables to pass engineering and safety standards before allowing the equipment to be rented out.

What is an Inflatable Canoe?

November 10th, 2009 by chineeinflatables

An inflatable canoe is a watercraft that simulates the design of a traditional canoe, but in an inflatable package. The benefits of such a canoe are portability and cost. In some cases, they are also significantly more stable than traditional canoes. However, inflatable canoes can also have some disadvantages.

Since the first inflatable boats came onto the market, the technology behind inflatables has increased immensely. While any inflatable product can be punctured, just like the hull of any boat can be punctured by the right material, the newer inflatables have come a long way to protect the user. Some are even classified for Class IV rapids, among the most difficult most individuals will ever want to face alone.

Like any inflatable, the most important part of the inflatable canoe is the air bladder. This is what holds the air in place and gives the inflatable boat its buoyancy. In some cases, the air bladder may consist of several chambers, which will help equalize the pressure throughout the inflatable canoe and make the inflation more complete and uniform throughout.

The inflatable canoe can be made of a number of different materials, depending on the quality and durability wanted. Many are made from PVC vinyl. Other materials include polyester and heavy duty tarpaulin. Those who decide they want to buy an inflatable canoe would do well to research the various materials and reviews of various models.

One of the more common uses for an inflatable canoe is in fishing. Due to the cost factor and maneuverability, they are ideal boats for lake fishing. However, their light weight may mean they tend to get blown around in even the slightest of winds. In those cases, one should consider the use of an anchor. Many anchors on the market come with soft edges, which make them especially useful in an inflatable canoe.

While some inflatable canoe models are made to resemble kayaks, inflatable kayaks are usually not true kayaks. This is because the user is generally not strapped into the inflatable kayak. However, this type of inflatable may offer even better maneuverability.
Those looking for an inflatable canoe for use in open water should consider looking at a sporting goods store or online. Many stores may offer inflatable boats, but some of these may not be any more than inflatable toys appropriate for use in a swimming pool or some other sheltered area. Inflatable toys, no matter what they may resemble, should not be used on the open water.

Air Bed Mattresses Are a Great Source of Comfort

November 6th, 2009 by chineeinflatables

In this day and age, air bed mattresses are not pigeon-holed as being only temporary solutions for sleeping arrangements. More and more, an inflatable air mattress is replacing the traditional metal spring mattresses that often cause sleeping problems and can be the cause of painful back conditions.

One of the advantages of air beds is that they can be fine-tuned to your personal comfort level. In some instances, a person may need to change the firmness of their adjustable inflatable bed from one night to the next, depending on the activities they were engaged in during the day or if they stressed or twisted their back. It is simply impossible with traditional mattress beds to have this kind of flexibility, in order to get the best sleep possible.

Air bed mattresses have the unique ability to conform to the shape your body. This essentially allows the air mattress bed to cradle you, while giving support where it is needed. This helps to eliminate the nasty pressure points that vex so many people while sleeping on standard types of coil mattresses.

These pressure points can interfere with the natural alignment of your spine at night. Mattress beds that are too firm will not allow for the natural and essential curvature of the spine. At the same time, a mattress that is too soft does not provide proper support either. This can cause abnormal positioning of the spine which creates bends, nooks and crooks that ultimately lead to pain. Therefore, if you find yourself waking up on a regular basis with persistent back pain, you would do well to consider switching to an adjustable air bed.

You should keep in mind that over the course of your life, your body goes through many changes. The natural aging process and various stresses and injuries that are inflicted upon it, will very likely require a different level of firmness in a mattress. With traditional coil spring mattress beds, this would mean that you would need to purchase a new mattress, but with an air bed, it is simply a matter of making a firmness adjustment to your air bed mattress to match your changing needs.

Christmas Gifts – Inflatable

November 3rd, 2009 by chineeinflatables

Exercise is exhausting. This is all. You can ask will tell you. And that is also the main reason why many people do not consider fun. But when you think of all the benefits that exercise can do for you, you should at least assume that the exercise is fun in one way or another.

You know that exercise is not for adults only? Children should be taught how to exercise. The instances of childhood obesity are reaching alarming levels. Parents should encourage their children some flexible muscles, not just hours ahead of record television.

Children should be as active as they used to. It is very important to understand that playing outside the grass is good for their bodies too. Technological advances we have today in terms of games and home automation to forget that the best way to have fun is to go, run, run and get dirty under the sun of children.

He is very positive that there are inflatable bouncers where children can play. The bouncer is a good way to induce the exercise with their children to enjoy. With these life-size toys, you can mask performance with playtime, which is a very elegant way to ask her children to save some of baby fat.

But more importantly, you can join in the fun too. There are many inflatable bouncers available today that can accommodate four or more children and adults at the same time. Just might be the best way for you spend time with their children, while you’re saving even jumping around the toy inflatable some calories.

Now the exercise is more fun. It is a great source of family activity that everyone can enjoy. Everything you really need-is an inflatable bouncer full of obstacles and perhaps one for pleasure of family is total. With an inflatable bouncer sitting properly in his garage, patio or garden, you need not remind your child to go out and play. Certainly there will be out in no time.

I do were the hours in front of all the computer or TV. You need not seek another they will. It is because they will be busy to play with the toy better than never. They can still ask your friends to come over and join the fun.

The DOM best you can gift for a child of obesity is a set of exercise. You can always make skateboards, tennis rackets and basketball. But that will give assurance that the child could not get tired of them easily? Try an inflatable castle and you’re almost be sure that they do not miss for the world. His legal color and design is attractive enough to attract their children to play with him, the more often. Now, that is not the best investment? Get your Christmas inflatables right now!

A Family Camping Tent Can Be a Lot of Fun

October 27th, 2009 by chineeinflatables

Remember the first time that I got to help my dad to pick out a family camping tent when I was a kid. It was the first time I got to go to the camping equipment store with my father. I thought it was the coolest thing ever. You see, at the time I was immersed in a typical fantasy that little boys have. I loved thinking about the old West, cowboys and Indians, and the adventures that one could have in the great outdoors. A family camping tent was just the thing that we needed to start to live these adventures. Although I would have rather gone on vacation by myself, the family camping tent still provided a great possibility for travel and adventure.

The tent we got was a Eureka tent. Neither my dad nor my mom had much experience camping, so we didn’t really know much about buying a tent. We figured that we would get a camping family camping that was rated for four people – the number of people in our family. We didn’t realize how family camping tents were actually rated. A 4-person tent, you see, barely has room for four people sandwiched together tightly. You can’t take any of your gear in the tent, and you have no room to turn over, roll around, or move. Needless to say, this does not make for a very good outdoor camping experience.

We didn’t actually try out the family camping tents until us gets to our campsite. This was a bad idea as well. Camping gear is not that hard to use once you get used to it, but the first time it can take a while. In our case, we did not get into the campground still somewhat late. It was the evening when we started setting up the family camping tent, figuring that it would only take about 10 minutes. One half hour later it was not put together, it started getting stressful. The sun was setting and soon we would have no light to see what we were doing with the family camping tent. When we finally got the family camping tent together, it was too dark to cook. We ended up eating cold beans out of the can. When we finally crowded into the tent, hopelessly huddled together, we were all miserable. Although we have had better camping trip since then, the first trip with that family camping tent was not a lot of fun.
